I automate price and inventory changes. For those who like to do things themselves the intuitive setup is very operational. It covers the revenue manager’s daily tasks. I then outline proposed changes and suggest the best possible actions. You make the final decision to change room availability, close or open room type per channel, adjust BAR rates, or bulk edit, and all in a matter of a few clicks.

Auto mode works better.
I outline proposed changes and suggest the best possible actions. This works for price and inventory separately, meaning that you can choose to automate availability and not to automate rates. I continue to change availability non-stop. In this case, for the rates, users make the final decisions either by accepting or adjusting my rate proposal. I learn from their behavior and adjust my future decisions, but the downside is that I am not utilized to the full extent of my capabilities. When you choose to automate both rates and availability, I make all the changes all the time. This means that the workday does not end when the revenue management team goes home or when there is a weekend or a holiday. I keep on working all day every day. All you have to do is monitor results by following reports closely and occasionally adjust our course.

I propose changes and recommend actions, separately for pricing and inventory. Users have the option to automate availability only or both rates and availability. When only availability is automated, users decide on rate changes. I continuously adjust availability. When both rates and availability are automated, I work continuously, regardless of office hours or holidays. Users monitor results closely and occasionally adjust course.
